How an AI chatbot allegedly helped student terminate parking fine: 'Very relieved'

FOX News

Fox News correspondent Matt Finn has the latest on the impact of AI technology that some say could outpace humans on'Special Report.' A college student in the U.K. said she was able to get out of a parking ticket by using AI technology to draft a letter requesting to revoke the fine. "I was like, 'Oh I don't need this fine, I'm a student' but trying to articulate what I wanted to say was pretty difficult so I thought I'll just see if ChatGPT can do it for me," the 22-year-old student in York, Millie Houlton, told the BBC. Houlton said she asked OpenAI's ChatGPT to "please help me write a letter to the council, they gave me a parking ticket." The ticket was for £60, or roughly $74, that the young woman said was wrongly issued after she parked on her street.

World's first robot LAWYER is being sued by a law firm - because it 'does not have a law degree'

Daily Mail - Science & tech

A'robot' that was set to make history for advising the first defendant in court with artificial intelligence (AI) has now been accused of operating without a law degree. The AI-powered app DoNotPay faces allegations that it is'masquerading as a licensed practitioner' in a class action case filed by US law firm Edelson. The chatbot-style tool is centred around making legal information and'self-help' accessible to support consumers fighting against large corporations. But Chicago-based law firm Edelson has claimed the service is'unlawful' and the company itself has'substandard' legal documents. In a file published by the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of San Francisco, the complainant said: 'Unfortunately for its customers, DoNotPay is not actually a robot, a lawyer, nor a law firm.

ARTIFICIAL Intelligence is breaking a new frontier, with a company teasing that their robot will be playing an important part in a trial in court. The AI robot will be the first to advise a defendant in a court of law. The news was shared by the publication New Scientist, which explained that the AI would be in the defendant's phone. The AI was developed by a company called DoNotPay, which describes itself as "The World's First Robot Lawyer."

DoNotPay Offers Lawyers $1M to Let Its AI Argue Before Supreme Court

#artificialintelligence

A legal services company says it's willing to pay $1 million to fuck around and find out. On Sunday, DoNotPay CEO Joshua Browder made a wild proposition to any lawyer slated to argue an upcoming case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. Let DoNotPay's AI lawyer, which is built on OpenAI's viral GPT-3 API, argue the case before the court, Browder said, in exchange for $1 million. All the human lawyer would need to do is wear AirPods and repeat to the court what DoNotPay's robot lawyer argues. "DoNotPay will pay any lawyer or person $1,000,000 with an upcoming case in front of the United States Supreme Court to wear AirPods and let our robot lawyer argue the case by repeating exactly what it says," Browder wrote on Twitter on Sunday night.

Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain are Revolutionizing the Legal Industry

#artificialintelligence

Blockchain, machine learning, and artificial intelligence are revolutionizing the legal industry. Digital transformation in the legal industry has been slow, but as benefits are becoming more obvious, legal firms are adopting digital technologies to improve their services. Since privacy is of utmost importance in this field, the use of technology has not yet extensively pervaded, due to gradual and cautious implementation. However, digitization, although initially slow to catch on in the legal industry, is seeing a steady increase in its adoption. The digital transformation in the legal industry is already proving to be highly beneficial and is promising even greater benefits once fully realized.

Greg Gutfeld: We are the luckiest generation of spoiled brats in the history of the world

FOX News

So as a kid growing up in the 70's I loved science fiction movies. As a kid, I imagined the future as frightening and weird. Every day would be like Black Friday at Walmart. Who can forget "Mad Max"? Riveting tales of a dystopian earth where lawlessness reigns and survival becomes a daily challenge.

Legal Chatbots

#artificialintelligence

One year ago, we wrote about the world's first robot lawyer. It is a website with a chatbot that started off with a single and free legal service: helping to appeal unfair parking tickets. When the article was published, the services was available in the UK, and in New York and Seattle. At the time, it had helped overturn traffic tickets to the value of 4 million dollars. Apart from appealing parking tickets, the website could already assist you, too, in claiming compensation if your flight was delayed.
